The parallelogram baby gate project inspired me to build a similar solution to keep my mini Australian Shepard isolated to the main level of my house, and for when my Wife and I start having kids.

It was a fun project for me, as not much information existed as how to build one but once I understood the general principle it wasn't that hard. I experimented with the hinges and challenged myself to use only wood, so far it's holding up nicely.

I have aspirations to replace the hand railing with Hemlock (to match the gate) and see if I can some how incorporate it to appear as one.
